One of the most active volcanoes in the world woke up in Mexico, reports Volcano Discovery.
According to daily monitoring conducted by the National Center for the Prevention of Disasters (Cenapred) in conjunction with the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), 148 emissions have been recorded in the Popocatepetl volcano over the past 24 hours.
It is reported that the smoke rose to a height of about 6700 meters.

Popocatepetl is located 64 kilometers southeast of Mexico’s capital, Mexico City. It is one of the most active volcanoes in the world.
