The authorities of the island of Tenerife (Spain) have begun the process of evacuating residents in connection with the outbreak of natural fires. This was announced by the leadership of the Canary Islands.
To ensure safety, a precautionary evacuation is being carried out from the settlements of Arrate, Chivisaya, Media Montagna, and Achafon. The total number of evacuees reached 3,000.
Traffic on the highways of the island is temporarily suspended, and a second level of danger has been declared in the region.
According to the information, the forest fire started on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday near the settlements of Arafo and Candelaria.
