The Bali Immigration Service has put a wanted notice on a foreign tourist who meditated naked in a Hindu temple. The head of the supervisory department, Tedi Riyandi, told reporters about this.
This incident became a real scandal on the island, as the desecration process was filmed by a local resident. In the footage, a naked man with a spiritual face sits in the lotus position in one of the sacred places.
The video was posted on social media with the caption: “So disrespectful. Meditating naked in our temple? Are you crazy? How could you do such a thing and humiliate the Balinese people and their faith? Immigration officer, please find this man, we’ve had enough!”
The video was posted on Saturday, but within a couple of days it became so viral that the immigration service actually had to respond. The department has already stated that they have identified the man.
“Immigration is currently making every effort to contact the foreigner through his social media accounts, but so far there has been no response from him,” explained Tedi Riyandi. He also added that the police have already joined the search for the “defiler.”
