In the Georgian city of Batumi, off the Black Sea coast, the construction of an archipelago of two artificial peninsulas and one island has begun, as has already been done, for example, in Dubai, where infrastructure is being organized, including for tourists. The press service of the Georgian government published a message about this on its website.
“I would say that today we are launching a unique, modern project. <…> This is a project that consists of two artificial peninsulas. One island will also be built here,” the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili quoted.
According to him, entertainment, health, sports, educational, commercial, residential, and tourist destinations will then be created in these territories.
Hotels with 500 rooms, as well as shopping and entertainment centers will appear on the peninsulas and the island. The total investment in the project will be $100 million.
