Athens has been named the best European city for travellers who prefer exploring without a car. According to a new study by Accor, the Greek capital scored an impressive 99.75 out of 100 — outperforming Munich and Lisbon.

The coast is accessible via tram, while the airport is connected by metro. Athens also features four major railway hubs and achieved a 97% rating for public transport accessibility and comfort.
