The ranking of the most hospitable countries in the world — that is, countries that are ready to accept tourists without a visa or with a simplified access upon arrival — was presented by the Henley Passport Index experts. On the “highest” place in terms of hospitality, for example, the Maldives were ready to receive tourists from 198 countries – that’s almost all the countries of the world. Not far behind them are the popular Seychelles – 197 countries. Popular with our tourists, Egypt was in 31st place, and Turkey – was in 29th place. Ukraine itself occupies the 55th place on this list – we provide visa-free entry to tourists from 83 countries and share this place with North Macedonia and South Africa.

By the way, there are 86 places on the list, and North Korea, Afghanistan, and Turkmenistan are in last place. These countries do not grant visa-free access to anyone – and there are not many willing people in the queue. In front of them – Macau, Libya, Eritrea, and Bhutan – are ready to let tourists from only three countries without a visa; Bhutan also collects considerable taxes from tourists.

As for the leaders, the first five places are distributed as follows:

  1. Angola, Djibouti, Guinea, Maldives, Comoros, Somalia, Bolivia, East Timor, Malawi, Qatar, Micronesia, Burundi, Guinea-Bissau, Nigeria, Tuvalu, Samoa, Gabon, Ivory Coast, South Sudan, Rwanda, Cambodia, Ethiopia — 198 countries
  2. Seychelles, Togo, Uganda, Cape Verde, Mauritania, Suriname – 197 countries.
  3. Palau, Dominica, Madagascar – 196 countries.
  4. Malaysia – 195 countries.
  5. Lesotho – 194 countries.

As for other countries popular with our tourists, for example, Sri Lanka is in 7th place, assuming without problems tourists from 192 countries; Cuba – for 12, admitted tourists from 178 countries; Turkey, as already mentioned, on 29 with a result of up to 121 countries; Egypt – for 31 and 118 countries. Also, the Dominican Republic ranked 36th with 106 countries, Israel ranked 41st with 99 countries, and the UAE and Thailand ranked 56th with 82 countries. Ukrainians also enjoy the right to problem-free entry in most of the listed destinations.
