Perea and Nea Mihaniona are also considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Thessaloniki.

Epanomi

Epanomi is a very large beach, the furthest from Thessaloniki. Tourists often rent cars if they are going to come from the city. It is very difficult to get there on your own. There are golf courses here. The beach is surrounded by vineyards, bars, and restaurants with local wine – economy. The attraction of beach is a ship that sank in the 70s of the last century, the remains of which are visible above the surface of the water.

The beaches in Thessaloniki are mostly public, and the entrance to them is free. Sunbeds, umbrellas, and mattresses are rented and cost about 7-10 euros per unit. However, there are exceptions in favor of tourists. On some beaches, inventory is paid only from 9 am to 5 pm. And somewhere, to use the inventory, you need to buy food or a drink at a bar on the beach, then it will be included in the price.

Agia Pelagia

One of the most famous beaches and the leader of AllinCrete, Cretevillas4u, Greeka ratings is Agia Pelagia. The beach is located about 25 kilometers from Heraklion, in a picturesque bay. Great for families with children, as there is almost always a calm sea, suitable for snorkeling. There are umbrellas and sun loungers here, you can also rent catamarans.

There are taverns one after another along the beach, there are many shops, Internet cafes, ATMs, and car rental agencies nearby. There are many small cafes and bars, but no big clubs, so it is relatively quiet at night. Agia Pelagia is built in the form of an amphitheater, and most of the hotels offer a beautiful view of the sea. Strong winds, which are a problem in much of the Aegean, rarely bother vacationers. Therefore, on weekends the beach is filled with residents of Crete.

Popular tourist beaches in the Heraklion area also include Matala, Amoudara, and Malia.

From 1 May, neither a certificate with a negative PCR test result nor a certificate of vaccination against coronavirus infection is required to enter Greece.
