They were supposed to fly to Russia on December 15, but due to the overflight ban by Jordan, they never left. The Arab country simply banned flights, as the Russian airline intended to enter Syrian airspace without any permission.
As a result, tour operators settled some of the people in hotels, and some stayed overnight at the airport. Today it became known that another carrier will send tourists home, but only in the coming days.
