As a result of the worst drought in the past 100 years, the Panama Canal has faced a problem: more than 200 ships were stranded on both sides of the canal, causing significant difficulties in its passage.
It is reported that the water level in the canal dropped significantly due to a prolonged drought, which caused this blockage.
To cope with this unusual situation, the Panama Canal Managers decided to impose temporary restrictions on the number of ships passing through the canal. Until September 2, no more than 32 ships per day will be allowed on each side of the canal.
This drought, which had a severe impact on Panama, led to a decrease in the water level in the channel that otherwise connects the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.
