The Israeli Ministry of Tourism has announced the resumption of subsidies for flights to Eilat in the winter season. According to the ministry, the program will run from May to September. It is planned to allocate 60 euros per tourist.
The details are as follows: The Israeli Ministry of Tourism said that in the coming winter season, programs to provide financial support for flights to tourists to the new airport Ramon “Red Sea” resort of Eilat.
- The program will run from September 1, 2022 to the end of May 2023, with the exception of the periods from 9 to 16 October 2022 and from 5 to 13 April.
- The subsidy is available to airlines that operate no more than 75 flights a week from one airport in Eilat.
- The amount of the subsidy is 60 euros per tourist.
Israeli experts noted that the pandemic involved up to 45 international flights a week.
