The transfer of concession rights to a part of the Turkish Dalaman airport, located in the southwest of Turkey, in the resort province of Mugla, to the Ferrovial group of companies – a Spanish firm specializing in the design, construction, and management of infrastructure facilities – has been completed.
The Spanish aviation and infrastructure company Ferrovial Group signed an agreement reached in February of this year to invest in the Turkish Dalaman airport. It is about a 60 percent share. The amount of the transaction was 140 million euros, Turkish media reported.
The airport’s operating rights will run until 2042, according to Ferrovial’s statement. The sales contract was concluded according to the plan. In addition, all conditions, including approval from the authorities, have been met.
Earlier, YDA Group Chairman Huseyn Arslan said that the agreement reached is very valuable for the Turkish economy and aviation industry. The Spanish group Ferrovial also manages London’s largest airport, Heathrow.
