In the American state of Utah, a 70-year-old tourist survived a cougar attack. She attacked him as the man made his way through a thick grove in Diamond Fork Canyon.
According to CBS News, the animal attacked the tourist and knocked her to the ground. The pensioner was not lost, grabbed the stones, and threw them at the puma. He continued to growl until the wild animal retreated. After that, the tourist got to his car and drove to the hospital.
He suffered lacerations to his head and arms, according to a sheriff’s office official. Currently, the tourist is in a “satisfactory condition”.
Utah Department of Wildlife Resources officials have been trying to locate the cougar, but have been unsuccessful, officials said.
