A group of fishermen survived the “worst day” of their lives when a bull shark grabbed one of them by the arm and dragged him under the water, reports YahooNews.
A shocking incident took place in the United States. Three men were fishing in Florida’s Everglades National Park. One of the fishermen named Nick, having unhooked his catch, began to wash his hands in muddy water, when suddenly a large shark appeared in front of him. A marine predator grabbed his hand and tried to drag him into the water. Fortunately, true friends rushed to the aid of the guy.
“Hold it! Take it!” they shouted, trying to pull Nick back into the boat.
The life-and-death struggle was captured on video and posted on Facebook by one of the fishermen, Michael. The video shows a clear bloody imprint that the wounded Nick left on board the boat during the fight.
“Today was one of the scariest days on the water I’ve ever had,” wrote Michael.
According to him, it was an unprovoked attack, since at that moment there was no blood in the water.
“Sharks are no joke in the Everglades National Park. Please take this as an experience and learn from Nick’s mistake. This could have been avoided,” he added in the caption to the video.
A man was airlifted to a hospital by the Miami-Dade Fire and Rescue Department on Friday after park rangers administered first aid, according to local media reports.
“Things could have been a lot worse,” he finished the post.
The incident served as another reminder for local fishermen and tourists to keep their hands and feet inside their boats.
