Weather conditions in Thailand in the coming days will not be favorable for recreation – tourists have been warned about the impending danger. According to the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD), severe thunderstorms, strong winds and even hail are expected in northern, eastern and central Thailand.
The cause of the bad weather will be an area of moderate high pressure from China moving over northeastern and eastern parts of Thailand and the South China Sea, causing southerly and southeasterly winds to bring moisture from the Gulf of Thailand and the South China Sea to upper Thailand. As a result, in the area of passage of the atmospheric front, TMD predicts thunderstorms and gusty winds, and even hail is possible.
Local residents and tourists in the department were warned to take precautionary measures. It is advisable to avoid open spaces, including beaches, and stay away from large trees. It is also desirable to avoid “fragile buildings” and other infrastructure that raises doubts about its reliability against the elements.
