Tourism is resurging, borders are opening, numbers are rising, and countries are starting to attract travelers again. So, for the first time since the pandemic, the New Zealand tourism organization launched an advertising campaign that aims to attract travelers from all over the world.
New Zealand’s official tourism organization has launched its first global campaign after a long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It started with a video posted on Youtube.
New Zealand Tourism Executive Director René de Monchy explained that there is an intense international competition to attract visitors and New Zealand will have a much harder time winning it than anyone else.
“Due to the size and location of the country, we will have to work hard to encourage post-COVID-19 visitation as it takes years to attract foreign visitors and locals now have the option to go abroad and travel there,” de Monchy said.
In their video, the authors tried to play on the curiosity of tourists who love adventure and seek to look “deeper”. The video itself consists of a brief overview of some famous destinations and encourages travelers to embrace New Zealand’s values of hospitality and love for the environment.
