According to ABC7, in New Zealand, a large shark jumped into a boat with fishermen. Fortunately, the boat did not capsize and no one was hurt.
The incident happened off the coast of Whitianga. When the fishermen were fishing for mackerel, a large mako shark suddenly jumped right into the boat. Jumping on the prow of the boat, the sea predator slipped into the water and swam away.
Scientists believe that sharks jump when they want to rid themselves of parasites, ward off larger predators, or attract brethren.
