Greece has launched a mobile application with which you can see the Acropolis and Parthenon as they were in ancient times.
The new application uses artificial intelligence and virtual reality technologies. With their help, you can explore the Parthenon, the sanctuary of Artemis, and the monuments of the southern slope of the Acropolis, both from home and in front of these objects.
The creators of the application call the main “chip” of the virtual exposition the painted statues that stood in the iconic places of Ancient Greece. The Greeks loved to paint them in bright colors, but over time, the paint disappeared, and the sculptures took on the look we know.
The free app is available for Android and iOS and is available in English and Greek.
