The inbound tourist flow to the resorts of Egypt – that is, to Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh, and Marsa Alam will resume during the season. This was stated by Rami Fayez, a member of the Marsa Alam Tourism Investors Association. And not the last role in this is played by the increase in flights from Russia.
“Given the current level of bookings, winter occupancy at the resorts will be high. Especially after Russian travel companies increased the number of their flights to Egypt during the winter period — growth will begin in the coming weeks,” said the Egyptian expert. He added that “airline sanctions” and other bans have made Egypt one of the most important countries for Russian tourists to visit in the coming months.
At the same time, Fayez added that despite the general increase in prices, the majority of Egyptian hotels working with the Russian market refused to raise prices in the current period, precisely expecting that the last quarter of this year will see an increase in the pace of tourist traffic from Russia to Hurghada and Sharm- El Sheikh.
