RIA Novosti writes that the second airport of the Crimea – “Belbek” near Sevastopol – is already ready to serve passenger flights.
It is noted that the infrastructure created in this air harbor allows receiving passengers of civil flights.
Further implementation of the project for the development of the civil sector of the airport “Belbek” continues on schedule as part of the federal target program for the socio-economic development of Crimea and Sevastopol until 2025. At the moment, the runway has already been reconstructed, capable of receiving aircraft of all types, including heavy transport aircraft and strategic aviation. By 2025, the airport complex will be built.
Recall that the airport “Belbek” is an airfield for military and civil purposes. In 2016, it became a branch of Simferopol Airport.
