Police have moved to 24-hour patrols along the 15-kilometer coastline in Turkey’s Antalya province after discovering nearly a dozen bodies on beaches in a week, the DHA news agency reported.
Almost all of the dead turned out to be illegal migrants, except for one – a Turkish student who disappeared a couple of weeks ago.
Hotels also organize their checks on the beaches.
Let us remind you that since last week, at least eight bodies have been found on beaches in the province of Antalya, and another body washed ashore in the province of Muğla.
Earlier, the Lebanese Embassy reported that in December, a boat carrying 90 illegal immigrants crashed while moving towards Cyprus.
