In one of the major resorts in Turkey, Alanya, they plan to start processing leftovers left by tourists in hotels for food for homeless animals. This is reported by the Turkish edition of Turizm Days.
The project for the construction of enterprises for the processing of products left in Alanya hotels was announced on World Animal Day, celebrated on October 4, by the President of the Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ALTSO), Mehmet Sahin.
“Our Alanya has over 650 certified tourist sites and a strong economy so we can allow our stray animals to live in better conditions through this project,” he said.
Mehmet Şahin clarified that the enterprise for processing waste from hotel restaurants into food for stray animals will be implemented on the condition that the leftovers will be supplied only from the products left in the hotels of Alanya, and expressed the hope that the residents of the city will agree to the construction of a new facility.
