The international airports of the resort cities of Hurghada and Marsa Alam last Wednesday received a total of about 12 thousand tourists. Vacationers arrived on vacation on 79 flights, mostly from European countries, Russian tourists in Egypt yet. The statistics were published by Egyptian media, citing data from the airports of Hurghada and Marsa Alam.
The air harbor of the popular Egyptian resort of Hurghada received 11,000 tourists and 75 flights. At the same time, the international airport of the young resort on the Red Sea of Mars Alam received 4 flights and 1,000 vacationers.
Germany became the leader in the number of visitors. The ranking also includes the following countries: Poland, Czech Republic, Armenia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Great Britain, Serbia, Austria, Estonia, Romania, Turkey, Greece, Denmark, Malta, Bulgaria, Hungary and Saudi Arabia.
According to local publications, the passport departments of both airports continue to comply with the decision of the Main Department of Passports and Immigration to exempt Ukrainian and Russian tourists from fines for overdue visas.
