The Georgian authorities have decided on the rules for obtaining medical insurance, which will be mandatory for tourists entering the country from June 1.
Thus, the amount of insurance coverage should be 5,000 euros/dollars for emergency outpatient services and 30,000 euros/dollars for inpatient services.
In addition, the fine for the lack of a policy was determined: it will amount to 300 Georgian lari.
Let us recall that in December 2023, the Georgian authorities decided that from June 1, 2024, tourists will be required to have a medical insurance policy to enter Georgia; the amount of its coverage has not been specified.
