Russian tourists are being “deployed” at the borders of Georgia, RBC said, citing data from the Russian Consulate General in Trabzon. It is true not about the Russian-Georgian border, but the Russian-Turkish border. Such cases, as the publication assures, happen several times a week. The border guards do not explain the reasons for this.
The Russian Consulate General in Trabzon reports that complaints about refusal of entry at the Turkish-Georgian Sarpi checkpoint are received several times a week, writes RBC. The border guards do not explain the reasons for this. There is a version that Georgia is afraid that another Russian “renegade” will move to the country.
There is also the opposite version. Thus, as RBC assures, “among those who were not admitted to Sarpa, the representative office listed residents of the North Caucasus Federal District, the Republic of Crimea, citizens of the so-called DPR or LPR with Russian citizenship”.
However, the publication adds that the situation is by no means new – in August, similar complaints were received almost every day, now – only a few times a week. That is, the dynamics of such incidents decreased compared to the end of August.
