Disneyland Paris has officially revealed the opening date for its massive transformation — 29 March 2026. The announcement was made through a striking Frozen-themed drone show showcasing glimpses of what awaits visitors. With the relaunch, the park will be renamed Disney Adventure World, marking a bold new era of immersive storytelling.
The centrepiece of the expansion is a full-scale recreation of Arendelle, complete with a new family attraction and daily show. Among the most anticipated additions is a life-sized Olaf, brought to life through next-generation robotic technology that allows him to walk and speak.
Towering above the kingdom will stand the 36-metre North Mountain, crowned by Elsa’s Ice Palace — set to become one of the park’s most spectacular visual landmarks. At its base will lie the village of Arendelle, featuring colourful Scandinavian-style buildings, a lively square and shimmering water features inspired by Nordic landscapes.
The signature attraction, Frozen: Ever After, will take visitors of all ages on a boat journey alongside Anna, Elsa and beloved characters. Guests will glide through the snowy forest, the Troll Valley and the glittering Ice Palace before a grand finale in Arendelle Bay with snowflake-shaped fireworks.
Disneyland Paris president Natacha Rafalski told the Daily Mail: «29 March 2026 will mark a historic moment. This expansion represents the most ambitious transformation in our history, inviting guests to live out their own adventures. It opens a new era for Europe’s number-one tourist destination.» According to her, the redesign cost approximately €2 billion.
Beyond the Frozen universe, visitors will also be able to explore the Marvel Avengers Campus, with a future addition themed around Disney’s classic The Lion King already in development.
