French newspaper 20minutes writes that in France, environmentalist Jean-Marc Jankovic, a member of the Supreme Climate Council, has proposed limiting citizens to three or four flights in a lifetime by plane.
Yankovici sparked public controversy by saying he favors a system in which all citizens are entitled to a small number of flights.
“I said four, but it could be two, it could be five, I didn’t do the calculations,” Yankovici said. He clarified that he “supports the communist system: rich or poor, you will be entitled to three or four flights in your life, including two in your youth.”
In this regard, the newspaper 20minutes conducted a poll, as a result of which the vast majority of readers voted in favor of the quota system. Many even say it’s inevitable: four airplane flights in a lifetime, including two in my youth.
