The Saudi government has announced plans to build a giant cubic skyscraper. The building will become the nucleus around which a whole new district will be made in the capital.
A giant cube, each of whose sides will be 400 meters, is planned to be built in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. This was announced by the Crown Prince of the country Mohammad bin Salman.
Mukaaba (meaning “cube”) will house a museum, a university of technology and design, an immersive theater, and more than 80 entertainment venues.
It is planned to broadcast an image on the walls of the building from the inside, which will “immerse” visitors to the ocean floor or even to Mars – atmospheric themes will be different.
In addition, a new district will be built around the cube, it will include more than 100,000 residential units, as well as many shops and office space.
It is noted that Mukaab will be “the world’s first exciting experimental direction” with “digital and virtual technologies with the latest holography.” According to the Saudi government, the fantastic project should be completed by 2030.
