Everything became more expensive on Italian beaches: beach umbrellas, sunbeds, food and drinks

In Italy, these days marked the beginning of summer sea vacation. It turns out that equipped beaches have risen in price by more than 10%, according to DIP.

A study conducted by consumer organizations shows that prices on equipped beaches across the country rose by an average of 10% per year, with a peak of 18% on Palinuro beach in the Campania region – € 170 per week for an umbrella and two sunbeds.

However, the record holder in terms of payment is Alassio in the Liguria region, where in August the price will be 380 euros, followed by Gallipoli in Puglia with 282 euros.

Cheaper – from 25 to 40 euros per day on the Adriatic coast.

It is also reported that the prices for food and drinks on the equipped beaches have increased. It is believed that the high prices on these beaches are the result of speculation in connection with future government tenders for them from next season.

A survey by the consumer association Altroconsumo found that 28% of Italians this summer will prefer equipped beaches, and 46% – are free.
