Egypt Launches Smart Tourism Revolution — Fewer Lines, More Experiences

Єгипет відкриває нову еру туризму: менше черг, більше вражень

Egypt is entering a new era of smart tourism. The Ministry of Tourism announced a series of initiatives to modernize travel experiences, focusing on digital convenience, safety, and sustainability.

Among the highlights are electronic entry and resort control systems, smart beaches equipped with safety sensors, and the “Discover Egypt Smartly” program — integrating cultural maps, real-time navigation, and digital ticketing.

These innovations will help tourists avoid crowded spots, get personalized route suggestions, and explore destinations off the beaten path.

“The future of tourism is comfort powered by technology — and Egypt is taking the lead,” said local tour guide Amr Salah.

The government also plans to introduce a unified Egypt Pass — a cashless travel card giving access to museums, transport, and parks.

For travelers, this marks a shift toward a smoother, smarter, and more authentic travel experience across Egypt’s rich cultural and natural landscapes.
