Egypt has extended subsidies for tourist charters until April 2023

Egypt has announced another preference for foreign tour operators, charters will be paid for both this summer and next winter season.

The Egyptian government has approved the continuation of the program to support foreign charters until April 30, 2023.

The program provides subsidies to foreign airlines and tour operators, depending on the destination and loading of the board in the amount of 1.5 to 3.5 thousand dollars for each flight.

A separate package of activities will be developed for those who set up charters in Sharm el-Sheikh. Details of this program are currently unknown.

Egyptian authorities have promised to support Egyptian hoteliers in supporting spring and summer bookings. Yes, advertising campaigns are expected to be launched in the markets of Europe, the Middle East and within the country. It is reported that Egyptian hoteliers do not intend to refuse to open new facilities, despite a serious reduction in tourist flows from Ukraine and Russia.

The Ministry of Tourism of Egypt also reported that since the beginning of 2021, 21 hotels with a capacity of about 3,500 rooms have been opened. It is expected that 13 more hotels with a total number of about 1,400 rooms will open this year.

To stimulate domestic tourism, the authorities have lifted all restrictions imposed by the coronavirus.

Earlier, we said that direct charters to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh are being restored by a Russian tour operator, opening the sale of tours to Egypt to circumvent sanctions.
