An American Alaska Airlines passenger was arrested after inappropriate behavior: he was rude to a flight attendant, smoked a cigarette, and shouted “We are all going to die”, reports the Daily Mail.
According to the publication, the man drank an “unknown drink” during the flight and his behavior changed.
A man on a flight from Seattle to Anchorage has been charged with two assaults. Adam David Seymour, allegedly under the influence of drugs, allegedly drank a bottle of “hand sanitizer” because the flight attendants refused him to drink alcohol”, says the source.
According to eyewitnesses, he also lit a cigarette on the flight and told his seatmate that “the plane was about to crash,” according to The Daily Beast. The victims also said that “at first the brawler seemed friendly.”
“Mr. Seymour pulled out three colored bottles: pink, green, and blue, then drank the contents of one of them,” the witness report says. “The man’s neighbors did not see what was inside the bottles, as they were colored.”
The flight attendant reportedly witnessed Seymour drinking something and asked him what it was. He replied, “Hand sanitizer.” Soon the man ordered more Jack Daniels and Coca-Cola, and then “Mr. Seymour’s behavior changed.”
“He slurred his words and began to physically approach the victim without her consent, rubbed her shin and knee on the inside and outside, and tried to put his head on her shoulder,” the complaint says.
In a conversation with police officers, after the plane landed, the flight attendant added some details of the incident.
“He touched me, attacked a woman, threatened my life, and was exhausted from long-term drug use,” she said.
The media reports that Seymour made several comments about her sexuality and said that she “looks like a lesbian.”
“Moments later, the flight attendant saw Seymour holding a lighter and a lit cigarette in his hand,” the complaint says.
“I’m a bad person,” the intruder said to his neighbor, according to witnesses, and demanded a beer.
The man was arrested right on the plane: two passengers turned out to be police officers and handcuffed the offender.
The inadequate passenger refused to be tested on a breathalyzer, but an airport employee told the publication that swabs were taken from the defendant’s hands, “showing the presence of cocaine.”
Law enforcement at Anchorage International Airport told the Daily Mail that Seymour’s case is still under investigation.
