As early as 2027, a luxury hotel may appear in Earth’s orbit. At least its implementation was announced by representatives of the hotel chain Hilton Hotels. Designers of luxury suites for astronauts have announced that the Starlab space hotel will replace the International Space Station.
The hotel group itself, according to them, “will design the spaces, suites and recreation areas of Space Hotel Starlab.” As the authors of the concept explained in an interview with the Daily Star, representatives of the hotel chain hope to “imagine the human experience in space and make long-term stays more comfortable.”
At the same time, it has already been announced that the Starlab station, built by the private company Voyager Space, is planned to be launched into Earth orbit by 2027. It will have a permanent crew of four astronauts and modern laboratories. And it will also be available for “space tourists”.
