Effective October 1, 2022, all border controls related to COVID-19 will be lifted in Canada. This is stated on the government website.
As explained on the Government of Canada website, requirements will be waived for all travelers entering Canada by land, air, or sea, including vaccinations, mandatory use of the Arrive CAN program, and any testing and quarantine/isolation requirements .
The requirement to wear a mask in transport, including airplanes and trains, is also being abolished. However, the recommendation to wear it remains. Cruise ship passengers no longer need to take a pre-boarding test and use Arrive CAN.
