A foreign tourist went to a Greek resort and found himself flying alone in a huge airliner.
It is a flight of the British low-cost carrier Jet2, which was headed from Edinburgh (Scotland) to Greece. According to Edinburgh Live, the man paid only about 2,500 hryvnias in our currency, and as a result, got the experience of flying on a private plane in an almost empty cabin.
“I came to the boarding gate early and was embarrassed because none of the passengers were there anymore. Just as the final warning bell rang, I got up and went to the check-in desk, and a staff member walked me to the plane door and told me that it was just me and two other passengers flying. I thought it was some kind of weird joke until I got on the plane,” the traveler told his story.
Even though the tourist often uses the services of air carriers, he said that this happened to him for the first time. He also said that he was served “almost immediately after the seat belt signal went off.”
However, the tourist turned out not to be the first person with whom an “individual flight” happened. So a couple of tourists booked tickets for flights of the largest New Zealand airline, Air New Zealand, after a trip to a conference in New Plymouth (New Zealand). However, they were shocked to learn that their flight had been canceled and that they would be flying on another instead and would be the only passengers on board. As it turned out later, the flight staff had to fly to the base and they were ready to put the couple on board and make a landing at the desired destination.
There is another known case when the plane made an 8-hour flight on the route Great Britain – the USA with only one passenger on board. Then the tourist had time to eat several portions of free food and adjust the empty seats of the chairs for a personal bed.
