Warnings, as well as recommendations for tourists going on vacation to Turkey, were issued by the British Foreign Office.
Travelers are asked to refrain from traveling to some regions of the country, including those on the border with Syria.
“Firstly, there are battles in Syria, and secondly, it was on the border with Syria that there were earthquakes in February,” the British Foreign Office quoted the publication as saying.
In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs listed several laws that you need to know in Turkey:
- the tourist must have an identity card with a photo;
- you can not offend national symbols and currency;
- when visiting a mosque one should dress modestly;
- there is a ban on smoking in public places;
- you can not take pictures near military or police facilities.
