Regarding the Prime Minister’s decree of 5 May 2021, regulates some commercial and entertainment activities in Egypt at the end of Ramadan and during the holiday, for the next two weeks (6-21 May 2021), Dr. Khaled El-Enan, Minister of Tourism and antiquities, said that beaches, cafes and restaurants in hotels across the country are exempt from the established closing hours (21:00) dictated by the Prime Minister’s decree.
He added that the exception was made to ensure that the decree does not affect the time spent by holidaymakers in Egypt, the number of which is growing, which is noticeable since the beginning of 2021, especially in the provinces of the Red Sea and South Sinai.
Dr. El-Enan stressed that tourist facilities will operate normally, but this should be done in accordance with the rules and hygiene measures provided by law, which have existed since the resumption of inbound tourism in July 2020, and should continue to comply with 50- percentage regulation of occupancy.
Guests can still enjoy the rest and engage in all kinds of activities offered by hotels and resorts around the clock.
