Blue Mosque reopened in Istanbul after the restoration

The restoration of the Blue Mosque has finally been completed in Istanbul. April 21, she again earned as usual.

The Blue Mosque is one of the iconic buildings in Istanbul. It got its name from the thousands of blue and white tiles and blue stained glass windows. The mosque dates from the 17th century. It was built on the orders of the Ottoman Sultan Ahmed by the architect Sedefkar Mehmed Aga.

Restoration of the attraction began about 6 years ago. The building continued to work, but only partially. Mainly for tourists.

Now the mosque has finally started working as usual. They decided to open it for Ramadan Bairam.
