Any public place has its laws of etiquette, and the beach is no exception. Some of these rules are strictly regulated, while others are unspoken.
In order not to lose face and not to face the condemning looks of other vacationers, it is important to follow the unspoken rules of beach etiquette.
Do not shake the beach towel
Shaking your towel on a sandy beach in high season when there are dozens of other vacationers around is a terrible idea. The sand will scatter in all directions and create a lot of inconveniences not only for you but also for other people. To shake your towel, find a secluded place to do so. Or gently sweep the sand away with your hands.
Do not wear swimwear outside the beach
In resorts, people often allow themselves to walk in swimsuits through the streets and even go into shops and restaurants, which is extremely annoying for residents. In some cities, fines are provided to vacationers who allow themselves to walk in this form. In some places, there are no fines, but you will not encounter the approval of others.
Listen to music with headphones
Respect other people’s freedom to rest – it’s not at all a fact that they will like your taste in music. In addition, many come to the beach to relax in a relaxed atmosphere without musical accompaniment.
Do not argue with the lifeguards
Sometimes it seems that the rescuers are too emotional and vigilant, but this is not so. If the rescuer waves his arms and whistles, he wants to warn you against rash actions. In this case, the rescuer’s negligence can cost someone’s life.
Check if dogs are allowed on the beach
On some beaches, it is strictly forbidden to appear with pets, as their excrement often pollutes the coast. However, there are those beaches where you can bring dogs. Many beaches are open to four-legged friends all year round, except during the summer months. The most important thing, in this case, is to walk your pet on a leash and clean up after him if necessary.
