At a popular resort in Thailand, a woman attacked a tourist, biting off his ear and swallowing him

A scandal happened in Thailand, in the popular resort of Pattaya: a wildly drunk resident attacked a tourist and bit off his ear. After that, the attacker was arrested, and the tourist was sent to the hospital. What the Thai will pay for such an attack, interestingly, depends on how quickly the tourist recovers.

According to The Tiger newspaper, the victim of the attack is a 55-year-old American tourist who had just arrived in Pattaya and was riding a songthaew (a local open-top “route”) on his way to the famous Walking Street. At one of the intersections, a motorcycle stopped next to his vehicle, where 28-year-old Kannika Hampton, who attacked, was in the back seat.

As the tourist said, while the traffic light was red, the attacker suddenly got off the motorcycle and approached the minibus where he was sitting. Jumping into the car, she “sat on his lap and began to caress his body”, but the tourist assures that he had never seen the woman before – he pushed her away. But at first, she returned to the motorcycle, but then returned in a different mood, punched him several times in the face and bit his ear. So much so that she simply swallowed the bitten part.

As a result, the audience called the police, and Kannika strongly resisted arrest. The reason, at least, is alcohol, law enforcement officers add. The attacker was taken to the Muang Pattaya police station, where it turned out that she was insanely drunk and unable to answer questions. The drug test showed a negative result.

As a result, the woman was charged with two criminal charges under Thai law — for drunkenness and disorderly conduct in public places, she must be fined up to 5,000 baht. In addition, for harming another person, she faces imprisonment for up to two years, as well as a fine of up to 4,000 baht. At the same time, if it turns out that the tourist will have to treat the consequences of the bite for longer than 20 days, the severity of the accusation may increase.
