An Italian girl vacationing with her parents in Munich was killed when a stone statue fell at a hotel in the southeastern German city, police said, BTA reported, citing AP.
The incident happened on Friday evening. A statue weighing about 200 kilograms fell on a 7-year-old child in the courtyard of the hotel. People who arrived at the scene managed to free the girl, but she later died in a hospital in the capital of Bavaria.
It is not yet known why the statue fell. The police are investigating the matter.
