An excursion to Antalya ended in horror for 25 tourists traveling in Turkey. The tourist bus that was transporting them on outings caught fire and burned to the ground.
According to the Turkish newspaper Sozcu, a group of 25 tourists from South Korea traveled to Turkey, after a tour of Istanbul and Cappadocia, the tourists went to Antalya. This day’s excursion was to the peak of Tahtala Mountain in the Kemer district of Antalya.
But 4 kilometers from the lower station of the cable car on Mount Takhtala, one of the tourists noticed smoke coming from the motor part of the tourist bus and informed the driver. The driver stopped the bus and dropped off the guide and tourists. The flames that broke out from the engine part engulfed the bus in a short time.
The driver tried to put out the flames with a fire extinguisher, but it was too late – only the firemen who arrived could put out the fire, and then only in half an hour with the help of three hoses and a tank of water. As the publication adds, the bus burned entirely during this time, the main task was to prevent the flames from spreading to the forest.
As for tourists, according to Sozcu, “tourists went to their hotels in another vehicle.”
