According to the Daily Mirror, an elephant trampled a tourist from Italy in Sri Lanka.
The tragedy occurred in the town of Pottuvil on the east coast of the island. 50-year-old Italian Paulo Ginchino was riding a motorcycle with his friend when they were attacked by an aggressive elephant.
Paramedics who rushed to the scene provided first aid to the wounded tourist and took him to the nearest hospital, but he did not survive. The police are investigating the incident.
