A dilapidated and dilapidated tourist checkpoint in Pattaya, where staff used to cater to travelers, has been tidied up after a series of incessant attacks by ladyboy thieves on tourists in the area.
This year, Pattaya has become the epicenter of gold necklace thefts, mostly involving clever transvestite thieves from Indian tourists, The Thaiger reported.
Dozens of such incidents have been reported. Let’s list them:
- In the spring, a whole gang “in sexy dresses” “cleaned” one of them.
- In July, Pattaya police spoke about an Indian tourist who was robbed by a transgender woman. Her “catch” is a gold necklace worth about 1,000 dollars.
- In August, another Hindu man was robbed of 12,000 baht (about $500) in cash and other valuables during an infamous tour of Pattaya. Vishal
- Vaibhau, 33, said two ladyboys robbed him after he refused their “services”.
- Earlier this month, two transvestites also stole a gold chain from a Russian tourist.
What was meant by the word “repair”? Photographs taken by the Pattaya Mail show a kiosk opposite the Royal Garden Plaza Hotel on Beach Road covered in graffiti. The Pattaya police, together with city councilor Nick Sangkei, worked together to clean, paint and replace the light bulbs in the rusty booth.
The tourist checkpoint has practically not offered any services since before 2019. But now that the roadblock has been put in proper shape, employees will once again be there to provide emergency services to tourists and prevent crimes.
