The airline says the new service is designed for passengers who prefer a child-free environment and business travelers who need a quiet place to work while flying.
For an additional fee of €45 for a one-way flight, you can reserve a standard seat in the “Adults Only” zone, and for €100 you can reserve an XL seat with extra legroom. Access to the “Adults Only” area is restricted to passengers under the age of 16.
The zone will include a total of 102 seats (93 standard seats and 9 XL seats). This section will be physically separated from the rest of the cabin by walls and curtains, which the airline promises will ensure peace during the flight.
“We also believe that this innovation will also please parents traveling with small children and allow them to enjoy flying without fear that their little ones will make a little more noise,” says Coredon.
According to a YouGov study published in April this year, noisy children over four years of age annoy 51% of aircraft passengers, and 23% of passengers do not tolerate screaming babies on board.
