Inflation, rising gas and electricity prices, as well as problems in the economy, have led to the strongest increase in tour prices in Europe. All this prompted European tourists to look for ways to make vacations cheaper. And they found a way to significantly save on tours, ceasing to be afraid of “fines for absenteeism”. Let’s clarify: we are talking about family tourists and trips during the school year. The negative experience of last year with its “airline collapse” during the entire high tourist season pushed the Europeans to such a violation of the order, which we will explain below, and the invented scheme makes it possible to reduce the probability of encountering these problems.
Thus, the British media, referring to the results of research conducted by the online booking platform Holiday Extras, claim that more than a third of families planning to go on vacation in 2023 plan to do so before the summer holidays. right during the school year, when the cost of tours is not yet high. At the same time, families express their willingness to pay fines for absenteeism by their children. The fact is that in Britain, as well as in Germany, if a student does not show up at school without a valid reason, then a fine is imposed on the parents. At the same time, the practice of “notes from parents”, common in Russia, does not work there.
However, every tenth respondent stated that they had already decided not to rest during the holidays and high season. And another 29% are considering such a possibility.
The reason is a profound opportunity to save. On average, during the holidays, especially the summer ones, prices rise by about 28%. For example, as the publication assures, a holiday in Tenerife for an average tourist from Great Britain when classes are still in session in schools will save 900 pounds per family. And this is even taking into account the payment of notorious school fines.
