A British teenager who was vacationing with friends in Spain died of an allergic reaction to a cocktail after taking just one sip of the drink. The Sun writes about it.
The tragedy occurred in the popular Spanish resort of Costa del Sol on July 8, 2022, but it has only become known at present. 18-year-old Shiv Mistry, who was vacationing with friends on the coast, one day ordered a traditional Caribbean alcoholic cocktail “Pina colada”. After one sip, the Briton went into anaphylactic shock. Doctors could not save the tourist, and he died.
It turned out that instead of coconut cream, milk was added to the cocktail – Mistry had a severe allergic reaction to dairy products since childhood. It was noted that the teenager came to Spain to celebrate passing the exams and entering medical college at the University of Cambridge.
