A terrible incident occurred in the Turkish resort province of Antalya: a Russian tourist argued with the operator of a public toilet over a fee of 2 lire (4 hryvnias at the current exchange rate) and then killed him. The suspect was arrested.
On October 25 in the Kemer district of Antalya, 60-year-old Mehmet Ozcan, who was operating a public toilet in a parking lot, told a Russian tourist that he did not have enough 2 Turkish Lira to use the stall. These words drove the traveler into a frenzy: he punched the Turk in the face, and the man lost his balance and hit his head on the asphalt, Sabah reported. Soon, the Turk suffered a brain hemorrhage and, unfortunately, died in the hospital a week later.
As part of the investigation launched in connection with the death, the police studied recordings from surveillance cameras located in the vicinity. Referring to the testimony of 60 people, the law enforcement officers established that the person who committed the incident is a citizen of Russia. The police took all measures to detain him. Little is known about the detainee: he is a Russian tourist involved in boxing. He is now in custody awaiting trial.
As it turned out later, the murdered man had cancer and was taking care of his disabled daughter. This was confirmed by his nephew. Grief-stricken relatives demand retribution: “My uncle had cancer. And he had a disabled daughter. The attacker was a boxer. He hit and killed a cancer patient because he was short of 2 lire. My uncle died in the hospital. Whoever did it will not get away with it.”
