A powerful hurricane demolished sunbeds and umbrellas on one of the beaches of the resort of Ayia Napa in Cyprus and got on video. The video of the incident was published by the British tabloid The Daily Mail.
The footage shows terrified tourists fleeing the beach of Europe’s popular resort as the hurricane approaches the coast. Strong gusts of wind lifted umbrellas, sunbeds, and rubbish on the beach into the air.
As the source notes, later the hurricane intensified and grew into a tornado. Meanwhile, according to the local police, the elements did not cause serious damage to the resort and vacationers.
