A passenger on the Irish airline Aer Lingus nearly died during a flight due to a flight attendant’s mistake. This was told by the sister of the victim, writes Daily Dot concerning the girl’s TikTok account.
According to the blogger, the incident occurred on board a plane that was flying from the United States to France. On the flight, the flight attendant offered the girls a hot meal, which, according to her, did not contain nuts and could not cause allergies. However, a few seconds after eating, one of the sisters developed swelling.
At the same time, the flight attendant did not react in any way to the deterioration of the passenger’s condition and added that she could not guarantee the complete absence of nuts in food. Later, the blogger asked a crew member for a second bun, since eating high-carbohydrate foods could reduce the effects of an allergic reaction, but the flight attendant refused her. “People will be upset if you get two buns and they don’t even get one,” she said.
As a result, the sister of the blogger took an antihistamine, and after a few hours, the swelling began to subside. “The scariest part was that we were at 40,000 feet. It seemed that no one was going to help us, and I would have to watch my sister die, ”she shared.
Commentators supported the girl and condemned the flight attendant for heartlessness and ignorance about the composition of onboard meals. “The fact that the stewardess could not understand that this is a serious situation is just insane”, “Fired for incompetence”, “No one helped? Seriously? Terrible situation!”, “Well, this is a lawsuit”, “It’s a pity that this happened to you”, “Disgusting behavior of airline employees,” they wrote in the comments.
