The first ultramodern long-haul aircraft Dreamliner Boeing 787-9 will receive the German Lufthansa. The new superliner with the registration number D-ABPA and the future name Berlin will enter the airline’s fleet this summer.
The new Boeing will consume on average about 2.5 liters of kerosene per passenger during a flight of 100 kilometers. This is about 25 percent less than its predecessors. Correspondingly, CO2 emissions will also improve, which is of great concern to the entire European public. Boeing 787-9 Berlin will be equipped with an improved cabin – all business class passengers will have direct access to the aisle, that is, they will not have to skip and give way.
After several weeks of planned interior refinement at the Lufthansa service center in Frankfurt, the aircraft is initially planned to be used on internal German routes for training purposes. Toronto will be the first intercontinental scheduled destination for the Lufthansa Dreamliner.
In total, the Lufthansa Group has ordered 32 Boeing Dreamliners with deliveries between 2022 and 2027.
